What Is The VEX Robotics Competiton?
The VEX Robotics Competition (VRC) is the world's fastest-growing robotics program where high school students design, build, and program a robot that competes in head-to-head challenge game revealed annually.
In Fall of 2015, the Robotics Club implemented VEX Robotics to teach members (especially new ones) robotics concepts to be applied in FIRST Robotics in the following January. |
Benefits of VEX Robotics and Differences With FIRST Robotics
- Building Season of VEX Robotics is longer (up to a few more months) than FIRST Robotics
- Permits revision of designs
- Permits repeated practice of learned robotics concepts to new applications
- More cost-effective. Most components can be recycled. More team members can participate in hands-on building.
- Space-effective. Robots are smaller (desktop-sized) and working space is smaller.
