Of the 16 participating teams, nine were veterans:

  On December 5, 2018, 16 FIRST LEGO League (FLL) teams from 12 elementary schools in the Toronto District School Board participated at the FLL Qualifying Event at David & Mary Thomson Collegiate Institute.  Three schools -  Birch Cliff Heights PS, Fairmount PS, and Glen Ravine Jr PS - participated in FLL for the first time!
