Girls' Robotics at Joseph Brant Public School
United Nations' International Women's Day: March 8, 2023
On March 8, 2023, the Pink Titans mentored girls in grades 5 and 6 on coding, building mBots, and empowerment at Joseph Brant Public School. The girls built mBots with screwdrivers and wrenches. The girls then used a Scratch-based platform to code the mBot to move in a variety of directions by the keyboard and emit sounds. March 8 was the United Nations' International Women's Day. In acknowledgement of this day, the Pink Titans led a workshop with the younger girls, who drew scientists, then reflected on the representation of scientists in the media.
