Sponsorship Levels
The Pink Titans - FRC 5719 of David & Mary Thomson Collegiate Institute is aiming to participate in District Events in the Greater Toronto area in March every year. However, funding is required by the FIRST's annual due date of mid-November to support this!
The students would very gratefully appreciate any kind assistance (financial, in-kind, mentorship) offered by the community to help make this possible. Please contact Edmund Kim at Edmund.Kim [at] tdsb [dot] on [dot] ca or PinkTitansCA [at] gmail. [dot] com who is happy to answer your questions. FIRST Robotics tournaments are open to the public and held mostly at university athletic venues and multi-purpose complexes. The Pink Titans have competed at the Mattamy Athletic Centre [formally Maple Leaf Gardens] in Toronto, Durham College's Campus Recreation and Wellness Centre in Oshawa, Hershey Centre in Mississauga, and the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis, Missouri, USA. Thousands of people, many of whom associate with the business-side of FIRST programs, attend over each multi-day event. Events are broadcast online, enabling sponsors to be recognized locally, nationally, and globally. The FIRST Robotics Competition has over 91,000 students participating on over 3,600 teams in Canada, USA, and internationally. The 2019 FIRST World Championship, held at Ford Field (Home of the National Football League's Detroit Lions) in Detroit MI and Minute Maid Park (home of Major League Baseball's Houston Astros) in Houston TX USA, was attended by over 70,000 people and 700 teams from 70+ countries, providing international exposure for team sponsors.
